Kayla Palmer
Bagelshop Co-Owner and Mississippi native Kayla Palmer has always exuded a profound passion for community, food, and service, discovering her joy of forging personal connections with others at her first job as a server in her teens. After working her way through college as a barista and bartender, Kayla was drawn to Nashville for a journalism internship in 2016, and ultimately found her way back to her true calling of fostering community and camaraderie within the hospitality industry.
Following the birth of their daughter, Kayla and her husband and business partner, Max, embarked on a new adventure together: baking bagels in their home kitchen for friends and family. The hobby quickly evolved into a thriving business, with the couple’s bagels gaining a devoted following through offering home deliveries and making regular farmers market appearances. The journey culminated in the opening of a permanent café in Donelson, where the duo now bakes thousands of bagels each week. Kayla's genuine love for food extends beyond the kitchen, drawing inspiration from her travels, people she meets, and celebrating the diverse cultures she encounters.
